Architect/Principal Architect

Designed to be effortless, Mint automatically and securely collects your data from different sources around the web and consolidates your financial life in one place. In addition, Mint goes beyond visibility and analysis; using patent-pending algorithms to automatically categorize your spending and provide personalized money-saving and money-making suggestions.
Responsibilities:
You will lead the effort to architect a new set of distributed back-end services, and participate with a small team to design and implement these ideas in high-performance code capable of supporting millions of transactions daily. You should be comfortable independently tackling a complex project with challenging requirements for scalability, reliability in the face of unpredictable data, and operations-friendly focus.
Experience Required:
-5+ years experience in Java or another Object-Oriented language
-Experience with DOM, XPath/XQuery, XSLT and parsing techniques
-Experienced in multithreaded development
-Previous architecture experience working on a large scale online transactional processing enterprise application
-BS or MS degree in Computer Science
-Experience in design and development of distributed computing infrastructures and web-scale services
-J2EE technologies. Experience with internals of a main stream application server such as JBoss, WebLogic, WebSphere, Glass
-Prior start-up experience a must

We're flexible when needs dictate you work from home (although you'll miss out on free dinner!)
Engineers get their own top-of-the-line laptop with 4GB RAM and a docking station, and flat LCD monitor for their desk. Built-in unlimited mobile broadband is a company-sponsored option. Having the right tools is important.
