Mint.com Community Manager
As Mint.com’s Community Manager, you’ll be leading an active dialog with our prospects and users: simultaneously “getting the word out” about what we offer and learning from their feedback. You’ll provide valuable Voice of the User input into our Marketing, Product, Engineering and Business Development teams which will contribute to our company’s success.
Your key responsibilities will be to generate positive brand awareness/image and new user acquisition among our target market via community management, viral, referral and event marketing programs which are consistent with our brand and values
- Identify, develop and maintain Mint.com communities on:
· Large national sites such as Facebook, MySpace, and YouTube; and
· Narrower, community sites where our users and highest potential prospects regularly gather (e.g. cybermoms, web designers, college students, etc.)
- Actively participate in (non-personal finance) communities/blog comments relevant to our product and audience.
- Define, launch and manage an Advocates Program, engaging Mint’s most enthusiastic users in an active dialog about the product, and an aggressive refer-a-friend program for tangible and intangible rewards.
- Design, execute and manage Viral and Refer-a-Friend programs which cost-effectively drive new user growth via positive word of mouth
- Manage regular Mint WebEx-type presentations to users and prospects
- Manage Mint’s “real world” presence at conferences, trade shows, etc.
- Define and produce regular reports on our brand and product’s awareness and image across the web, including key issues to be addressed by Marketing, Product, and Business Development.
- Collaborate with Marketing and Customer Service to ensure that Mint’s voice is accurate, consistent and relevant across all tactics
- Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to create a roadmap for social network, viral and referral marketing experiences within the site and on the Web
- Manage tracking and reporting to measure ROI of these efforts on Mint’s brand awareness/image, site traffic and conversion rates
Experience and Requirements
Absolutely Required
- Passion for Mint’s mission and vision. Since Mint helps people do more with their money, we’re making it easier for people to achieve their financial goals and get to the life they want … sooner. You’ve gotta love that idea.
- Track record of success in internet, online and/or social media marketing, ideally for a Web 2.0 application with a strong community focus
- 3+ years of hands-on experience in either marketing, product management or community leadership for an internet based services OR 3+ years experience in online marketing agency serving clients providing internet based services
- High energy, creative, innovative and results-driven attitude
- Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills

- Strong self motivation and ability to work independently
- Bias to action and ability to work efficiently within a fast paced, start-up environment
- BS or equivalent from a top tier school
